Dear Fishermen and Participants,

After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that at this time, we will not be continuing the Annual Big Walleye Tournament, which has taken place for the past 36 years.

This decision was not made lightly. Sponsored by the Stoddard Bergen Fire Department, the Annual Big Walleye Tournament has been a long-standing tradition and a testament to the dedication, sportsmanship, and camaraderie of the fishermen who participated year after year. For many, it was more than a competition—it was a valued community event and a meaningful part of local fishing history.

However, due to changing circumstances and operational considerations, we are no longer able to move forward with hosting or supporting the tournament in the future.

We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all participants, organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this tournament a success for more than three decades. Your commitment and involvement were appreciated. We welcome and value any feedback or input regarding the tournament, as it will help guide future discussions and decisions.

Thank you for your understanding and for being part of a 36-year tradition that will be remembered with respect and appreciation. We hope you will continue to support our fundraising efforts in the future.
